Touched Twice Clinic Returns to Madison August 29th, 2009

Volunteers from Madison area churches will be working together to offer a free, zero budget clinic which provides medical, dental, optical, and chiropractic care, haircuts, a tasty meal, and other personal services to needy people. The Clinic will be held at Calvary Gospel Church, 5301 Commercial Avenue, with guests being served on a first-come-first-served basis from 10:00am until 2:00pm.

All services are provided free of charge. Anyone can volunteer. Most people who volunteer will be an advocate. However there are particular needs for physicians, dentists, optometrists, opticians, nurses, beauticians and massage therapists. More than 300 Madison area residents were served during the first Touched Twice clinic on August 14, 2004, with volunteers from over a dozen Madison churches participating. Additional Touched Twice clinics were held in Madison on January 29, 2005; August 20, 2005; October 13, 2007; October 18, 2008 and March 7, 2009. The National Touched Twice website website has information on clinics that have been held in other Wisconsin cities and across the country.
