I am a fifth generation Wisconsin resident, born and raised in the scenic driftless region that covers the southwestern part of the state.
I have been a writer and journalist for most of my life. My earliest news jobs included delivering the dailyMilwaukee Journal
on my bicycle in my hometown, reporting high school sports for the local weekly, and working weekends as an announcer
at our hometown radio station.
I earned a degree in journalism at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Following a career as a radio news reporter and news director I continue to write, report, and edit for a variety of venues,
and recently had articles in simultaneous issues of On Wisconsin (Winter 2015) and Our Wisconsin (December/January 2016).
Most of my work online these days is done as internet editor and media coordinator for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA.
I also write and report on Biblical Archaeology and volunteer with several professional journalism organizations.
